Down The Way
I attended the Angus and Julia Stone concert and it was bliss.
Angus may have been slightly high but either way his voice was unbelievable. Julia is far too cool. I was digging her random head and hand movements. She kept whipping out more and more instruments: guitar, piano, harmonica, trumpet
I wish I had a brother to jam with. Lucky I have Mckenzie!
I loved the cover that they did with the supporting band "Boy and Bear" of Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams". Boy and Bear also covered Bon Iver's "Flume". Could it get any better!?
I honestly could not stop smiling the whole night. I love music.
It left me on a music high so the past week I have continually practiced my guitar skills. I had a concert last night for my mother and father and all went well. Dad informed me that my repertoire is dismal but it is definitely improving. He votes I learn such songs as "Country Road" and "The Gambler".
Picnics and Play
Upon my return from travels my dear friends and I took an adventure to celebrate the birthday of mich.
We packed our picnic basket and headed for Fagan Park which brought back childhood memories for all. There are several gardens decked out to represent countries from all over the world. Our favourite was the chinese garden!
We ate warm chicken rolls and devoured Gabriella's chocolate cake special.
I loved feeding the ducks and lying on our picnic rug feeling as if we were five years old again.
